  1.        PS2EPS+     A PostScript conversion utility program for Macintosh

  4. PS2EPS+ is a freeware Macintosh program that can generate visible pictures
  5. from single page PostScript files. The primary usage  of this program is to
  6. generate Encapsulated PostScript files (EPS) from plain PostScript (PS) text
  7. files. Both Macintosh and Microsoft-Windows EPS files can be generated. The
  8. program can also save the pictures in the following formats:  PICT, TIFF, PCX
  9. and Macintosh startup screen.

  11. The conversion of PostScript files into visible pictures is done by a
  12. Macintosh version of Ghostscript, a freeware (originally UNIX) program from
  13. the Free Software Foundation. PS2EPS+ acts as a front program for
  14. Ghostscript. Note  however that PS2EPS+ is NOT Ghostview (for those who know
  15. what that is). It only accepts single page PostScript files  which have a DSC
  16. bounding box comment.

  18. I wrote this program several years ago, but after following the Usenet news
  19. group comp.lang.postscript for some time  and seeing many people looking for
  20. an utility like this, I decided to distribute it as a freeware program.
